The journey to conferment of city status to Eldoret town recently entered a crucial stage after the setting up of an ad hoc committee. One of the key mandates of the committee is to draft a report on the status of the town to be elevated to the city status. Once the report is complete, it will be forwarded to the Uasin Gishu County Assembly for deliberations. The assembly will look at the report and later make a decision on whether to reject or adopt it.
