EFFECTS OF COVID 19 ON PROPERTY IN UASIN GISHU COUNTY.

Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic in Kenya, the Government   and the Ministry of Health has put in place various directives such as; social distancing directives, travel restrictions, curfews and lock downs in some counties. This has directly affected the different property sectors. As a matter of fact, the Pandemic has greatly hit down Hospitality sector in Uasin Gishu County. Other property sectors that have been affected in this county are; Residential sector, office sector, retail sector and lastly, construction sector. Hospitality sector. Occupancy of Hotels  have dropped drastically forcing the temporary  closure of some hotels in Uasin Gishu county.   This has been a very big blow not only to the Hotel owners but also to the employers of those hotels since most of them lost their jobs consequently. For those hotels which remained opened have currently been experiencing a big loss since the numbers of customers visiting the hotel has dramatically declined. Significantly, the governm
