Where to Buy Land: Proposed Physical Plan for Chereber Trading Centre Approved By Uasin Gishu County

The Uasin Gishu County Executive has approved a proposed local physical and land use development plan for Chereber trading center.

County’s Lands, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development Department has now submitted the proposed plan to the Uasin Gishu County Assembly for consideration and final approval.

Uasin Gishu County had in 2019 sought consultancy services for Cadastral survey mapping of Chereber and Chebarus Trading Centres.

With the approval of the proposed plan, subject to final approval by the County Assembly, Chereber is set to get a new face, in terms of planning.

The plan will also put in place guidelines on land use within the trading center, limiting agricultural activities in favor of commercial structures.

Already the proposed local physical and land use development plan for Chereber Trading Centre has been committed to the Uasin Gishu County Assembly Committee of Urban and Physical Planning for consideration.

If you’re looking for a place to buy land – outside Eldoret town, for commercial purposes, Chereber should be among the places to consider.

The trading center is located in Kesses Sub County.

Generally, major urban centers in Uasin Gishu County that you should consider investing in are Eldoret, Burnt Forest, Moi’s Bridge, Matunda, Turbo, Moiben, Kesses and Kapseret.

There are also 152 market centers spread across the County, out of which 50 are planned while the remaining have no proper physical development plans.

How Women Can Protect Their Property Rights After Marriage

They say property has no gender, but history shows a different reality, where property ownership has favoured men. This inequality is still evident, especially when it comes to inheritance after the death of a spouse.  Even though Kenya’s 2010 Constitution guarantees equal rights for men and women, many women still struggle to secure their rights to property. So, how can women make sure their rights are respected after marriage? Baoriat Agencies explains six key ways to ensure fair property distribution in case of death or separation. 1. Registering Jointly Owned Property  When a couple buys property together, it’s important to register it under both names. Joint Tenancy or Tenancy-in-Common There are two ways to share property: Joint tenancy : If one partner dies, the other automatically becomes the sole owner. Tena...
