Major Estates In Eldoret Town
Eldoret municipality has a 15km radius that spans from the CBD to Maili Nne along its western boundary. To the north, the municipality spans up to rock centre along Iten road to Kenmosa to Royalton (outspan) to Kapseret to Kipkaren to Kapyemit. The municipality is headed by a board that oversees its activities which is mainly maintaining public parks in town, collection of garbage and maintaining the town infrastructure. Within the municipality, there are major residential estates you may be interested in residing in. Just to mention but a few, here are some estates located East of Eldoret municipality; 
Annex
This is one of the fastest-growing estates in Eldoret municipality. The rise of Annex if attributed to the establishment of Moi University’s’ school of law in the area. This estate is home to many law students and middle-class people working in Eldoret town. Many families living within this estate live in their own homes many being members of the Moi University Pension Scheme. This place is very ideal in raising if you are seeking a quiet place and a serene environment to grow your family
Outspan
Outspan area is a robust place found along the Eldoret Nakuru highway 10km from the towns’ CBD. The place plays host to Kesses MP Mishra’s office and the famous Royalton hotel. This area is still growing and has vast lands suitable for agriculture. Outspan plays host to a pyrethrum nursery site which you can get information and venture into the cash-crop business.
Kapseret
Kapseret area is located 10km South-West of Eldoret town. It is a fast-growing area given the recent developments of the Eldoret By-pass interchange that is being built in the area. Kapseret is home to several quarries that have been supplying hardcore for building the many new roads we now see in Eldoret town. Given the short distance to the airport from Kapseret, land prices have been steadily increasing in the area as investors look into tapping into cargo and hotel business.
Racecourse
Also known as Chinese, Racecourse area is found along the Eldoret-Kapsabet road about 7km from town. Racecourse plays host to the Red Cross Eldoret branch and the famous racecourse hospital.  Racecourse is a very ideal place to settle if you are looking for a quiet and secure place close to town. Its roads have street lights are regularly graded to ensure easy mobility of residents around the estate
Langas
Langas is a very famous area in Eldoret municipality. It is home to thousands of people many of who work in Eldoret town. Langas is one of the most populous areas in Eldoret followed closely by Roady. Despite being close to town, Langas estate is considered to be a cheap place to live in making it very favourable for students. Many students who study in Eldoret polytechnic and Catholic University can be found here. 
Pioneer
Pioneer area is one of the major estates in Eldoret. It is home to many middle-class people who work and own businesses in Eldoret town. Pioneer is characterized by an ever-increasing number of apartments and one can easily compare it to Nairobi’s Jamhuri estate. Pioneer plays host to Rivatex Textile company and Pyramid Packaging company making this an ideal place to invest in if you are looking to earn from rental income. You can also set up your supermarket or grocery business to tap into this huge market.
Kipkaren
Found along the newly tarmacked Eldoret Celia road, Kipkaren area is a hidden gem among the good places to live in while in Eldoret. Kipkaren is characterized by affordable rental houses and its closeness to Eldoret town. Kipkaren area is slowing growing albeit challenges with road infrastructure of which the relevant authorities have promised to fix. Living here, you will get direct access to Langas and west Indies without any traffic making it an ideal place to live in to avoid rush hour traffic.
