Uasin Gishu County has six sub counties namely: Moi Ben Sub-county, Kesses Sub-county, Kapseret Sub-county,Turbo Sub-county, Ainapkoi Sub-county, Soy Sub-county.


Uasin Gishu County has its headquarters at Eldoret town which houses major Estates under its Municipality Jurisdiction.These major Estates include: Kapsoya, Huruma, Langas,Kimumu, Elgon-view, Kipkaren, Kahoya, Maili Nne, Race-Course, Mwanzo, Kidiwa, Pioneer, Munyaka, Kipkorgot and Sogomo Estate.


Eldoret Town is rapidly growing and in a few years it’s going to have a city's status. Uasin Gishu County has the best climate especially for people who would like to retire graciously. 

Uasin Gishu County has a number of expeditiously developing township centers namely: Turbo,  Moi’s bridge, Burnt forest, Cheptiret, Flax, Ziwa sirikwa, Kesses and Wounifer.


In addition, the county is also privileged to have good road networks and an International Airport; Eldoret International Airport. Besides, the county is well blessed with both seasonal and permanent rivers, water dams. This makes the county ideal for various types of farming.
